Barleyfields and thornaby GP's merge

Postby miles » Thu May 14, 2009 2:29 am

I am in Barley fields and like ti the receptionists are very nice and very good but I am not happy to merge with the other woodbridge practice

I usualy can get an appiontment with in 24 hours and often less

We were "consulted" ha they held a meeting and did what they wanted anyway

for the first time I had to wait 48hrs for an appiontment this is unheard of in the last 10yrs for me

any one else have comments

now you can see the panic on the administrators face so please keep it factual and do not mention any names and we may be able to chat about this

Have been registerd at Woodbridge practice for over 5 years and have never had an issue with getting an appointment on the same day if it was needed. The practice (both at Ingelby and Thornaby) has always been able to provide the necessary service, which ever member of my family has required it.
I don't see why this would change with the recent merger.

Well beg to differ!! >:( Since the "merger" it has been a bloody nightmare to try and get thru on the phone at 08.30am trying to get an appointment for that day and when you finally do get thru, it's best part of later on in the week that's the earliest appointment date! :o So it looks like I'll have to die rather than be cured to get seen in that practice now they've merged. It goes back to the old say "Why fix something that's not broke?" ??? From what i've heard, the original reception staff are sick of it and are looking for new jobs because of it all! I could get thru on the phone no probs before, have an appointment for that day and everbody was happy :) It's pathetic! >:(
